Our Board

HAWABHAY Kamal, CA (SA), TEP, F.MIoD, ADINT.Tax(TJI, USA), is the Managing Director of GWMS Ltd. He is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa), holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a post graduate diploma in advanced accountancy, taxation and audit. Kamal also holds an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Thomas Jefferson Institute of San Diego, USA which was awarded to him in early 2015. He has over 16 years' post qualification experience in the professional accounting and global business industry. He is ex-KPMG (Durban) and has held senior management position with leading offshore management companies.

Kamal is the new incoming President, for the year 2015/2016, of the Association of Management and Trust Companies in Mauritius, the representative apex body of the private sector global business industry. He has previously occupied the same position continuously for five years to 2013/2014. He is also a recent past executive committee member of the International Fiscal Association (Mauritius). He is a Fellow of the Mauritius Institute of Directors, a full member of the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners of the United Kingdom, of the International Fiscal Association, past board member and member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants, the Mauritius regulatory body for professional accountants.

RAGHAVJEE Sanjay, Bcompt (SA) M.Comm (Tax) (UKZN) Sanjay is a Durban based South African citizen and a non-executive director of GWMS. He is an admitted tax practitioner and accounting officer. He has over 23 years' experience in the private and corporate sector, consulting to private companies and government departments alike in South Africa. His specialities include Financial Planning & Wealth Management, Tax advisory services and Personal tax advice. He has an impeccable reputation among his peers and clients alike. Sanjay is affiliated to professional bodies such as SAIBA (SA), SAIT (SA) and is a member of FSB (Financial Services Board).

HARILAL Reetha, South African citizen and resident in Mauritius. She is the Human Resource and Office Administration Director of GWMS. Reetha rose from the position of Audit Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of the Durban office of PriceWaterhouseCoopers ("PWC Durban") with direct responsibility for the day to day administration of the office to later move on to a position in the administration support team of Advanced Wealth Management Company, the financial services division of PWC Durban. She has several diplomas in secretarial and computer operations.

GWMS Staff

We employ staff of calibre comprising qualified Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA students, MBA graduate and Accounting Technicians with experience in diverse sectors encompassing Accounting, Audit, Management, Global Business, International and Local Taxation amongst others. Our corporate administration and secretarial arm is staffed with graduates, near qualified ICSA graduates and mature staff with experience. We also have a separate Compliance function staffed with a law graduate with experience.
